Cannot open new terminal in i3

Hi everyone,

I can't open a new terminal in with Alt+Enter while opening Firefox. It flashes then nothing happens. How can I fix this?

What do you mean "while opening firefox"?  You can open a terminal with alt+enter at other times?  How do you open firefox?  Is this inability to open a terminal only while firefox is "opening" or the whole time it is running?  If the former, what do you define as firefox opening (when does it start/end)?

Ah no, I confused you with that Firefox stuff, sorry. It happens with any other app running. (Just forget about the firefox opening, my wrong description, sorry).
But the thing is, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt. I've tried to focused the parent, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I'm lost.
