[SOLVED] Kernel Panic Virtualbox ArchLinux as Guest with multiple cpus

Hi

I installed ArchLinux on Virtualbox as guest system. If I set my VM to use more than one cpu core (IO-APIC enabled in VM settings, too), i get a kernel panic. Singlecore works (even if IO-APIC is enabled).
I posted this problem to the Virtualbox community first (https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic … 67#p328767). They referred me to you because you might know something about smp kernel and archlinux (I will keep both threads up-to-date)

Host System:
Win 8.1 64-bit
AMD Phenom II x6 1090t@3.2GHz (6 cores)
8GB RAM

Edit:

Some additional Information (obviously singlecore in VBox configuration)

uname -a:

Linux varchbox 4.1.2-2-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Wed Jul 15 08:51.45 UTC 2015 i686 GNU/Linux

zcat /proc/config.gz | grep CONFIG_SMP:

CONFIG_SMP=y

dmesg | grep CPU:

Re: [SOLVED] Kernel Panic Virtualbox ArchLinux as Guest with multiple cpus

there seems to be an issue with the latest kernel  4.1.2 and Virtualbox 4.3.30.
I downgraded to 4.0.6 Kernel (Jun 23) and now Archlinux works with multiple cpus in Virtualbox.
