OpenRC
I did a test run with Manjaro's OpenRC edition and noticed the boot speed and fast apps respond compared to systemd. Does anyone use the OpenRC from AUR? How is the install and maintenance?

Thanks karol. I noticed when installing Manjaro, many common packages have the name ending with -openrc. Reading the links, its not just few packages to install but requires whole new edition.

It's because of the useless splitting of every single possible service file Manjaro does, as well as eudev shenanigans. Just use the Arch packages (openrc, openrc-arch-services-git). At this stage, it's a straightforward process to change inits in Arch, provided you don't use GNOME or Plasma 5. No "edition" or such involved.

P.S: Before talking on boot speed differences, make sure to rule out activated timers (locate, etc.)
