ThinkPad S540 - Some keys not getting recognized when mod key pressed

Like the title says, i've got the ThinkPad S540. I use the window manager herbstluftwm and while configuring the keybindings i came across this problem.
When i press the shift and the Mod key, the key with the windows symbol on it, it blocks the Right key entirely.
To test it, i used xev and i don't get any output in said scenario.

Any ideas?
