pc hangs after ... (hlt) OK

Hy
I've upgraded 5 pkgs today, kernel, pcmcia utils, samba, udev and ati module.
then I made a reboot, and everything works perfect.
then i boot again, into winxp, because i had to play
afterplaying, i wanted to boot into arch again, and now it hangs after grub, after the line:

... (hlt) OK

So my questions. I`ve upgraded from current and extra. this pkgs should be stable, or not?
how to solve this problem, pls help, because i had to answer several email, in arch (not win). --> very high priority

I doubt you'll be back, but we'll probably need more details than what you've given.  What packages were upgraded specifically?  Did you ensure your grub lines were udev paths instead of devfs as per the udev readme that gets downloaded with the latest round of packages?
