Lenovo X1 Carbon. Touchpad stopped detecting three finger clicks

After recent update touchpad stopped detecting three finger clicks. I have no idea where to start looking from. Trackpoint works fine.

xinput test tells me I'm pressing the right button or left button (3 or 10, not the middle one (2).

Downgrading the kernel from to 4.0.7-2 helped

I've been noticing the same (different laptop - HP Folio 9470m - Xfce). Looks like this bug.
