[So]Unable to backup dropbox folder to external hard drive using rsync

Hello people,
I'm unable to sync my dropbox folder of my external hard drive with the one of my laptop, using rsync (and grsync).
I get permission errors
For instance

rsync -rltv --modify-window=1 --itemize-changes /home/isaac/Dropbox/ /run/media/isaac/TOURO\ Mobile/Dropbox/

returns several lines such as

rsync: mkstemp "/run/media/isaac/TOURO Mobile/Dropbox/Electro 2/2014/.Ch31 ISM.pdf.qa5mdR" failed: Permission denied (13)

. The external hard drive is formatted as ntfs, apparently this causes permission errors. I just can't see to bypass them.
So that I'm left with some files that I'm unable to back up.

Edit: problem solved by reformatting the external drive to ext4.
