I have a NVIDIA Corporation GeForce GTX 970 video card, running a fully updated system. Kernel 4.1.2-2-ARCH and nvidia drivers version: 352.21. I am using KDE Powerdevil 5.3.2-1 (plasma)
I am having this problem that my screen wont go to sleep using the KDE Energy Saving Module.
I tick on Screen energy savings but when the screen turns off I get Displayport No Signal and I have to reboot/ctrl-alt-backspace to a new session. I have taken a look at the xorg.log and journactl but I can't find anything relating to the displayport in them.
Any help and or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I have a somewhat similar issue. I'm running a dual monitor setup on a single gtx770. 1 in 3 boots will give me mirrored monitors, and switching them back to separate will throw the entire system into disarray with screen tearing. I filled a bug report on qt5-graphicaleffects here in arch's bug reports. I worked around it by removing qt5-graphicaleffects and kscreen (pacman -Rdd).
YMMV
edit- keep libkscreen. Don't remove anything BUT qt5-graphicaleffects and kscreen

Thanks for the tip Buddlespit. I now have this fixed...sort of. My screen enters sleep mode but I get a plasma crash as soon as I wake the monitor up.
