For those using pcie_aspm=force. You might get lower power usage if you remove that entry.

I've had about 11W in idle. Now, after removing that flag, I've got 8.5W

Nice to hear as TLP is probably most complete and easy power management systems for Linux. When can we expect this?

Once merged, will TLP maintain all the defaults currently present in powerdown?

Yes, what do we use now? Powerdown is broken .

@diesel47 TLP literally does the same thing as powerdown plus a few more features.  Give it a go if powerdown is broken for you.  TLP is also actively being developed.

@taylorchu thank you for this, which many of us has used throughout the years.
