Locale issue with perl

Perl cannot find a locale and defaults to the 'C' locale.

I get the error message everythime i run perl. I assumed it was to do with the glibc change from a while back and i followed the steps again uncommenting the locales i wanted and running locale-gen. This was successfull but the error message remained.

$lang = en_US even though that is commented out in locale.

What am i doing wrong?

Solved - typo in rc.conf.
