Hi!
Has anyone had any luck with installing archlinux on Dell chromebook 11?
I haven't managed to enter seabios. I did patch it, though there was a warning saying that ROM write protection couldn't be disabled, it seemed to work without failure.
However, on splash screen if I press ctrl+l, the computer just freezes and I have to press the power button to restart it. Apparently I am not the only one with this problem :

Has anyone any solution?
Thanks!!!

are you sure you can install anything in there without removing the hardware lock?
As example, to install ArchLinux on the ASUS Chromebox you have to manually remove the screw that blocks the bios from being reusable with custom distro.
Even if you think the BIOS flashed correctly, if you won't remove the possible hardware lock, you have few, if none, chances to succeed.

Which Dell chromebook 11 is it specifically?
If I look here https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ch … Chromebook, there seem to be two versions. One with Intel celeron, the other with intel baytrail.

No I don't know this! Maybe I should try to unscrew it and flip the switch ...

Oh nice! I didn't see this list before ... Mine is an Intel Celeron, though not the one listed here I think ... I have Intel Celeron N2840.
On the list it says that this model is not upgradable! Does it mean I cannot install archlinux there?
