Does patching Dell Chromebook SeaBIOS affect CrOS?

The Arch Wiki explains how to patch the Dell Chromebook SeaBIOS to boot Linux natively.

If I install the patch, will it still permit booting into Chrome OS?

I know using John Lewis's script will disable CrOS, but will the SeaBIOS patch do the same? Thanks!!

It will permit booting into the chrome os. The patch is used to get the machine to load seabios correctly once you have enabled.

If it makes you feel any better about it, I have run the patch on the computer i am writing this on right now and i can get to chrome os whenever i like

edit: remember to make a recovery stick(or sd card fyi) just in case it doesn't go well because you can't boot from an arch stick to fix things unless you get to seabios
