Hi,
I just downloaded the linux version of tonido server (an alternative to Plex) and tried to install it following the official guide found here http://www.tonido.com/support/display/docs/Arch+Linux .
but when running the command I get this :
loading packages...
error: missing package metadata in tonido-0.5.0.10415-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz
error: 'tonido-0.5.0.10415-1-i686.pkg.tar.gz': invalid or corrupted package
So how can I solve that ?
Thank you in advance.

Read this https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR then go here https://aur4.archlinux.org/packages/tonido/

Given that the instructions refer to using rc.d, and that it's only for i686 I suspect this is very old.
Where did you download it from. The instructions just say to download it from their site, but I can find no links.

I can confirm that the checksums are wrong. You need to decide if you can trust the source, if you can, update the sums and move forward.
Note that the download link points to a dynamic site - it's likely this has been updated for debian more recently than the PKGBUILD has.

Okay, how can I "trust the source" ?

I don't know - how can you? I know nothing about that company, and it seems to be closed source. I wouldn't trust it. But that's not the question: do you? If you do, them update the sums, if not, look for other software.
If you mean how to update the sums, check the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ma … _checksums
