[SOLVED] Linux, USB DAC, ALSA and xfce4

I'm trying to get my entire machine to play through my DAC, be it youtube from firefox, steam and ncmpcpp.

Problem is setting it up. I followed quite a few guides, namely this one:

http://www.linuxconsultantsireland.com/ … ard-debian

And stopped PulseAudio completely.

When I do aplay -l, I get: http://ix.io/k3c/#n-LINENO
And I'm interested in getting the card #2 to work, which is my DAC, but I don't get why there are 2 copies of it.

When I do aplay -L, I get: http://ix.io/k3d/#n-LINENO
Which further confuses me.

At the moment, I have this in my /home/user/.asoundrc:
http://ix.io/k3e/#n-LINENO

And I'm trying for the life of my figure out why it isn't playing.  Also, am I supposed to go into xfce4-settings' audio settings and select the default sound output from there?  Because I have tried that, to no avail.

Solved with:  http://ix.io/k4e/#n-LINENO
