Suddenly I'm being spammed with weird error messages when upgrading AUR using packer:
/tmp/packertmp-1000/package_name.PKGBUILD: line 1: !DOCTYPE: No such file or directory
/tmp/packertmp-1000/lpackacke_name.PKGBUILD: line 2: syntax error near unexpected token `newline'
/tmp/packertmp-1000/lpackage_name.PKGBUILD: line 2: ` "http://www.w3.org/rest_of_URL">
where package_name is the package to upgrade.
This has only started this morning, though the packages do then go on to upgrade. Oddly, at the same time I've had a couple of missing dependancy issues which are easily fixed, but I'm certain shouldn't be missing (cmake was one).
The errors suggest that HTML was being downloaded in place of the PKGBUILDs, though when I check in /tmp/packerbuild-1000 there are no PKGBUILDs there (unless it's gotten around to installing a package), and when I check a PKGBUILD that is there, it's fine.
Upgrades from the official; repositories completed without issue.
Any ideas?

Moving to AUR Issues...

Scratch that. There's a packer upgrade which seems to have fixed it. It'd have been nice if packer had forced itself to upgrade first.

You probably want to provide that feedback to the package developer rather than in a bbs thread.

That's a good thought. It wasn't so much feedback as an observation, but I'll go ahead and do that now.
