I'm on the latest kernel (4.1.3-1) and btrfs-prog (4.1.2-1). I just noticed the following errors in my journal today while troubleshooting something else. dm-4 is my root volume, on a lvm on an encrypted luks volume on SSD. Trim is enabled but not on auto. I have COW and Compression turn on but selectively turn off for some dir especially VM's.
BTRFS error (device dm-4): error inheriting props for ino 13706621 (root 5): -28
There's 10ish line of the same message with diff ino number and when I checked back with journalctl -b , there was another bunch 3 days ago. Should I be worried about anything?

You will probably have better chances of getting an answer on #btrfs irc channel on freenode.
Did you try running scrub on your btrfs device?

Thanks, I just did scrub, 0 errors found. Keeping my finger crossed.
I don't use irc at all, and my timezone is way off from US so probably won't stay up long enough to get an answer. I'll probably try a diff method to post the question. Btrfs site is down for now, I'll post the question when it's up and update here if I find anything.

People are online around the clock. I'm off US zone myself, but I'm constantly getting answers quite fast. It's up to you though
