Packages missing in the AUR

Hello everyone

I use "kalu" to get notifications on package updates.

I went on vacation for a couple of weeks and when I came back today, I saw this notification saying 6 packages were missing from the AUR:

I use them *a lot*, especially "meteorjs" (this is for my daily work! This package helps me to put food on the table everyday!).

I read that packages with a non functionnal PKGBUILD could be removed from the AUR. The one of "meteorjs" has been broken in the past but I solved the bug in the PKGBUILD and the maintainer corrected it.

So why were these packages removed from the AUR, and especially "meteorjs"? Apparently they were removed both from aur.archlinux.org and from aur4.archlinux.org.
This is really annoying for me so if someone could tell me why these packages were removed, please do, I would be glad to understand why.

And according to my Arch system too. So they (or at least this one) were removed from AUR4.

cluxter, that was never submitted to the AUR4. Read any of the other dozen threads on this same theme. That cached page is just a skeleton placeholder with non-functional links. That was not an AUR4 package.

The "Maintainer: None" is pretty clear. If you want it in the AUR, submit it.

Also, the last submitted date is before the AUR4 was open - so in contrast to you claim, it was deinfitely *not* submitted to the AUR4.

I don't see a reason to say 'definitely'. I don't even know what does "And according to my Arch system too" mean.

If this is just a skeleton placeholder, what is the real repository? Still aur.archlinux.org?

I definitely will (hoping that I can easily find the old PKGBUILD in Google's cache, I've never submitted a package so far so finding it back would help).
However how did you get the information "Maintainer: None"? I'm sorry I'm confused with all of this, I was so convinced that aur4.archlinux.org was the unique and real AUR repository.

Well I thought this domain was the one for the AUR so I got wrong.

I don't even know what does "And according to my Arch system too" mean.

I thought that having these packages installed and updated on a regular basis on my system thanks to "yaourt -Syu --aur" several months after the new AUR came out implied that the packages were already in the new AUR.

I did but didn't finish before answering, I went too fast. I better understand the situation now, however I'm still confused about were the new AUR is located.
If I understand correctly, the AUR3 was located at aur.archlinux.org, then AUR4 went out and aur4.archlinux.org was used for several months to help the migration from AUR3 to AUR4, and today AUR4 is used on aur.archlinux.org. Is this correct?

That's what is shown on the cached google page you provided the link to. At the time that the AUR4 page was cached, there was a placeholder-only page on AUR4 (what this means is described in the thread Karol linked to). And at that time, there was no maintainer. So the package never was submitted to the AUR4, and no one was even maintaining it in AUR3.

Up until 2 days ago, yaourt was still using the AUR3 orphaned package. But as of the 8th, the AUR4 was moved over to the regular aur subdomain effectively overwriting the AUR3. So now this former orphan is just gone.

Feel free to open a thread for help making a PKGBUILD to submit this to the (new) AUR if you are willing to maintain it.
