[Solved] Using dd to copy an image to the harddisk

Hi, everyone.. I want to make a bootable recovery partition. I've shrank my Arch partition and now have 4 GB of unallocated space. Is it possible to use dd to copy the live image to a specific part of the hard drive? (Ive tried Googleing this, but I couldn't find any relevant information.)
