Continuous error throwing when shutting down.

Hi, I just installed Arch Linux on my Acer C720 Chromebook today. Install went normally (although I did get some "hardware errors" while running mkinitcpio), and I set up xfce. Everything is going great! The only thing that doesn't work is shutting down. I click my name in the top right and click shut down, the desktop exits to the terminal and then errors run for a very long time. I came back to it after at least 5 minutes and it was still throwing errors. I force restarted the machine and it booted fine. Any ideas on how I can fix this (so I can shut down normally)? Thanks so much.
