I'm trying to put some color into my Vim. I try earlier with Pychimp but for some reason nothing show up. I know that my script is in the good place cause it been displayed by the menu. I'm willing to know if it's normal or maybe i did something wrong.

it's kind of empty, send my colour scheme files in ~/.vim/colors. I can see they are there, I'm wonder if it's not the theme (pychimp) my problem.
Some theme are for vim and other for gvim?

"kind of empty"? Is it empty or do you have something in there? Does that something look like what is on the wiki?
Do you want help or not?

Here the content of my /etc/vimrc (i don't have a ~/.vimrc)
" All system-wide defaults are set in $VIMRUNTIME/archlinux.vim (usually just
" /usr/share/vim/vimfiles/archlinux.vim) and sourced by the call to :runtime
" you can find below. If you wish to change any of those settings, you should
" do it in this file (/etc/vimrc), since archlinux.vim will be overwritten
" everytime an upgrade of the vim packages is performed. It is recommended to
" make changes after sourcing archlinux.vim since it alters the value of the
" 'compatible' option.
" This line should not be removed as it ensures that various options are
" properly set to work with the Vim-related packages.
runtime! archlinux.vim
" If you prefer the old-style vim functionalty, add 'runtime! vimrc_example.vim'
" Or better yet, read /usr/share/vim/vim74/vimrc_example.vim or the vim manual
" and configure vim to your own liking!

i went on that site and they give me my colour scheme that I like and also mention to me that I had to put syntax enable in my /etc/vimrc. (i had already colorscheme SolarizedDark). It work, so I'm glad that i went on arch wiki vim.

Please remember to mark your thread as [Solved] by editing your first post and prepending it to the title.
Also make more effort to read the documentation yourself before posting: don't be a help vampire.

I'm partial to vim-kolor; the AUR contains others too.
