Hello, I'm new to Linux and coding in general, but decided to give Arch Linux a try over Windows 7. It took a few days but I finally was able to install it and get it up and running along with graphical interface and a desktop environment. I downloaded firefox and after awhile I went to watch a video and the audio quality was terrible and the video quality would only go to 360p when before in Windows I had great audio and could go upto 1080p on youtube videos. I'm not sure if it's just the way Arch is, or if I did something wrong while installing ALSA. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Install optional dependencies, make sure you're using html5 player.
If this doesn't help, see http://superuser.com/questions/903676/o … with-html5

Thank you! That seems like an embarrassingly easy fix, I don't have too much experience with firefox though, so I was unaware of it's capabilities.
