QT apps graphic output (dropdown menus) extremely slow. VLC (wx..) too

Hi!

I've observe on my system (Lenovo Thinkpad T530, Arch is current, use of Intel HD4000 only) that all QT draw dropdown menus extremely lagged and awfully slow. Same applies to VLC, but not that extreme. QT apps used were sigil, puddletag.

In virtualbox using guest linuxes on "console output" feels like using a 300bps modem.

GTK2 / GTK3 (easytag / firefox / thunderbird) behave normally.

May anybody have an idea where to start looking? Settings, environment, etc...

I would check themes, maybe you have some GTK theme set and Qt tries to imitate it and fails. Try setting Qt theme to default. Check if it's both qt4 and qt5 apps or only one toolkit. That's only guessing.

BTW VLC is using Qt too. They stopped using wxWidgets since 0.9 I think.
