Hello,
i have my Notebook running with Arch and i want to install Windows 10 on the second SSD.
Any ideas how to do that without overwriting the bootloader?
I replaced the first SSD (with arch) with an empty HDD and installed Windows on the second SSD. I removed the HDD again and tried to add a bootloader entry in grub on the first SSD but it does not work (Could not start Windows... changed Hardware configuration blah....)
So what can i do?
Thanks for you help.
Sorry for my bad English

I think it's easier to start Linux using the Windows bootlader than vice versa. Put GRUB in the start of the Linux partition, add that Linux partition to the Windows bootlader menu with EasyBCD, and you're done. Starting Windows from GRUB OTOH always seems to be a problem…

When dual booting windows with linux distros, I always selected from bios windows drive the first one when boot up.
After installing, windows, install Linux + GNU Environment to second drive.
Then switch drive boot order from bios, so that windows drive is the second one.
You will be able to use GRUB to boot into your OS's. But this also has its glitches, sometimes windows doesn't want to boot etc.
PS: I used this method with win7 and win8, so I don't know what problems with win10 may arise.
