Uses for Remind?

Anyone here use Remind?  What do you personally use it for?  Like a long-term event calender, or a daily scheduler? 
Do you think it would be effective to schedule college/HS classes?

I love remind.  I miss remind.  Don't remind me of remind

I used to use it for all my calendar and scheduling tasks.  But now the utility of a mobile calendar is to influential of a factor and despite much searching I've not found a single remind app for android.  So I am stuck with the oh-so-sh***y but mobile google calendar which works great on the phone, but sucks so bad on a laptop.  I've recently had to learn a bit about mobile apps - so one of these years I may write a remind android app.  But until then I am remindless.

It sounds great.  I think I am going to try the radicale CalDav backend for sync with my phone's calendar.  Hopefully that works well.
