arch on SSD with no HDD

so..

ive got a lenovo x220 and bough an internal 250GB SSD (it was on offer)

I probs should have got the msata ssd but oh well, so im just going to be running a solo HDD with no mechanical HDD

any things I should do differently? what partition scheme etc?

Ensure TRIM is enabled and partition boundaries are correct (read the wiki). apart from that, it's just faster storage.

I've recently switched to the NOOP scheduler for my SSD but in all honesty I can't tell the difference.

If it's a relatively modern SSD, you don't need to worry about minimising writes (I use swap on mine).
