Hello all,
I've searched high and low, but can't find a solution.
I'm trying to launch GW2 in wine, followed the wiki, but when I run
WINEPREFIX=/mnt/nixit/games/.wine64-gw2 wine /mnt/nixit/games/gw2/Gw2.exe -dx9singleThe GW2 windows comes up, files appear to download then the window closes. This is where the GW2 login window would appear, but I never get to see it instead in the terminal it says this:
fixme:ver:GetCurrentPackageId (0x2bae9b8 (nil)): stub
err:ntdll:RtlpWaitForCriticalSection section 0x7d8fc380 "../../../wine-1.7.50/dlls/winex11.drv/window.c: win_data_section" wait timed out in thread 003b, blocked by 003f, retrying (60 sec)
over and over again.
I hit CTRL-C and the launch wine again, The GW2 window comes up and then closes after about 5 seconds. I spent 15 minutes last night just relaunching GW2 in hopes that it would eventually start, but no dice.
I decided to delete my wineprefix and try again, this time with the GW2 window opened it started downloading files again, and then disappeared. This is a never ending loop.
I figured there were too many patches to get so I booted to windows 7, updated GW2, rebooted back to Arch, copied my windows GW2 folder over to my linux side, deleted my wineprefix and then relaunched. The GW2 window opened. started downloading files again, not sure why since it's all patched up on windows and then that widow disappeared.
I'm not sure where to look to see what could be going on.
I'm thinking it could be a hardware issue because when I try to run handbrake and/or ogmrip my system will either reboot or shutdown, the handbrake issue happens in windows 7 too.
I've checked all cables, blew out dust, reseated boards/memory.
anything else I can try? has anyone seen this before?
Let me know what else I can post to help track this down. I am currently on newegg pricing out new components.
Thanx in advance for the help.
EDIT: I never get to the GW2 login screen, I get the impression that the login window is not showing up. So maybe I have a wine setting that needs to happen. Any ideas?

Saw there was a new version of wine this AM (20150905), installed it and it looks like the latest version of wine (wine 1.7.51-1) solved the problem.
