Hello,

since the recent updates, my system freezes a lot.

I take a picture of the error.

PS: Sorry for the bad quality of it.

Re: System freezes

Something related to human interface devices. Do these freezes happen when you do something with your mouse, touch-pad or keyboard?

Re: System freezes

Most of the time when my system freezes I issue dmesg to see if the kernal (or some hardware) is trying to do something, and then look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log(or Xorg.n.log for tty n).

The issue is that the system is trying to call something that doesn't exist or isn't started, one time my kernal was calling CRDA(and repeating the calls because of failure) but I didn't have crda package installed so I just installed it and now my kernal succeeds at calling(which means it won't freeze on trying to call CRDA).

Another time I looked at Xorg log and found that my nvidia card is trying to call ACPI daemon, I just installed acpid and enabled acpid.service and I think now nvidia will succeed at calling the daemon(and thus stop freezing on trying).

So look at those, if you didn't find anything wrong then it's mostly some package bug, try to downgrade whatever package you updated to see if it solves your problem.

Hope this helps.

P.S: for the future when you want to post commands output append LC_ALL=C before them smile .
