Re: How to use an picture in the post?

You cannot upload an image directly to this forum/post - you need to upload the image somewhere accessible on the web (your web server, if you've got one, or one of the countless image hosters).

Then you link to that image using the BBCode [ img ] tag, as explained in the BBCode help page.

When posting images, please remember to follow the etiquette regarding sizes.

Re: How to use an picture in the post?

Welcome to Arch Linux.   An example of a nice screenshot program that takes a screenshot and pushes it straight to an image host site is scrotpush.  Run it, it takes a screen shot, puts it on the web, and leaves a link on the clipboard.

But, please be aware of the forum rules.  We prefer that full screen shots be linked using url tags rather than img tags.  This is because many of our members are on slow or metered connections.   If you want to be clever, reduce the full size screen shot to a thumbnail, then post the thumbnail with a click through to the full size image.  Done like this (except the spaces I added to break the tags):
[ img=url/of/the/thumbnail.jpg][ url]url/of/the/really/big/picture.jpg[ /url][ /img]
This way, they will see a small image and, if interested, they can click on it to see the full version.

Edit:  Too slow, but I had more info smile
Good afternoon WorMzy

I can recommend Imgur, they generate thumbnails for you (See "Sizes") and give you "Linked BBcode" that you can just copy and paste.
