xcompmgr problem

Hello all,

I installed xcompmgr and all the related libs and what not, and now, after the nvidia update, when I start xcompmgr the screen blanks out and I get this in the terminal window:

error 192 request 158 minor 8 serial 139805

and that scrolls and scrolls until I stop it at which point my background comes back and all is normal.

Anyone have an idea why this would happen?
