When installing stumpwm
I installed the following packages from AUR in this order:
- sbcl
- clx-git
- cl-ppcre
When I go to install stumpwm-git
$ makepkg -sri
==> ERROR: Missing package() function in ~/build-repos/stumpwm-git/PKGBUILDLast edited by outfit (2015-09-10 22:46:27)

Yes, it's a horribly outdated PKGBUILD which should never have been uploaded to the new AUR in it's current form. That "maintainer" has a few few packages like that.
You will need to fix the PKGBUILD if you want to use it.

See https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Creating_packages for a guide on writing PKGBUILDs.

I meant to post back here, there is a much better PKGBUILD on the pre-AUR4 archive.

You may have better luck with that.
I have no idea why the current "maintainer" opted to upload such an old PKGBUILD instead.
