Most GUI apps segfault when closing

Just setup a new system with Arch. Installed Cinnamon and the Nvidia drivers. Although all applications are running fine, whenever I close them I get a segfault.

Segmentation fault (core dumped)

This would not bother me, except that some things don't like it when an app returns a nonzero exit code. Not exactly sure if this is the right forum, but it seems to have started after installing the Nvidia drivers, so I'm putting it here. The only program I've found so far that doesn't do this is glxgears.

Re: Most GUI apps segfault when closing

Sounds like you have an Intel CPU (probably Haswell) and aren't updating the microcode.

Re: Most GUI apps segfault when closing

Thanks, but I do actually have the microcode updates enabled. The CPU is a Skylake i7-6700K. It looks like the intel-ucode package hasn't been updated since 2015-03-08, before the release of this chip.

Ah yes, there are a couple of other people reporting the same issue, with skylake and later production broadwell. Current thinking is that it's an nvidia problem.
