I was installing arch linux on a real machine for the first time, and I was following the beginners guide following every section for uefi systems. Once I finished and did the reboot, I ended up with a red screen telling me about a secure boot violation. partition scheme ( partitions for /var and swap on the hdd ( would have had one for /tmp too but was maxed at 4 and I don't want to mess up my windows 10 install) and the rest is on ssd. I did not use grub or anything, I just followed along with what was in the beginners guide exactly, only changing my localisation and mirror choice. I did not encounter any problems while going through the guide!
My partition scheme in depth:
sda is hdd, sdb is ssd, the partitions not shown are windows stuff. sdb2 was efi partition created for windows 10.
sda 931.5G
sda3 23G [SWAP]
sda4 23.3G /var
sdb 232.9G
sdb2 100M /mnt/boot
sdb5 19.2G /mnt
sdb6 96.9G /home
The problem I am encountering is as follows, whenever I try to boot into arch I get a red square in the center of a black screen, with the following message:
"""
Secure Boot Violation
The system found unathorized changes on the firmware, operating system or uefi drivers.
Press [OK] to run the next boot device, or enter directly into BIOS setup if there are no other boot devices installed. Go to BIOS Setup > Advanced > Boot and change the current boot device into other secured boot devices.
"""
Please advise on how I should proceed!
Thanks in advance

Disable Secure Boot in the BIOS.

Preferably I wouldn't have to disable secure boot. I have read in the past that arch can work with secure boot?

You can certainly *try*:

EDIT: To clarify, the Arch live ISO will boot up with Secure Boot enabled but the installed system will not unless the above guides are followed (even then, I can't get this working on my laptop).
