Trouble with xinput

Hello! :-)

I've just installed xorg-server-utils. When I run xinput I only get two listings; virtual core pointer and virtual core keyboard. This is obviously not very helpful, as I can't adjust my mouse sensitivity and such. Does anyone know what I could do to remedy this problem?

Thank you for taking the time to help.

If you want to config your mouse, take a look here.

Re: Trouble with xinput

I'm having the same problem, so I thought I'd post here instead of making a new thread. To the person who replied above me: I'm using a mouse, not a touchpad. Maybe I'm an idiot but I can't find anything in the article you linked to about configuring mouse sensitivity. When I use xinput I, like the OP, only get the virtual core pointer/keyboard.

It doesn't make any sense to me. I installed xorg-server-utils. And in every other distro I've tried xinput worked. And I need xinput; using xset alone does not even make my sensitivity borderline tolerable. At default it flies across the screen when moved like 1/3 of a cm.

Re: Trouble with xinput

I'm not at my desktop right now so I can't copy paste it, but it's just the normal xinput output, but with only two listings:

Virtual core pointer id=2

Virtual core keyboard id=3

I'll get you the copy paste as soon as I get home.
