Disable processor graphics card

Hi,

today I started using my laptop as a stationary computer since it is kinda broken.
Because it is impossible to run into power issues, I want to disable the processor graphics card and only want to use the dedicated one.
Since my BIOS does not allow to switch it off, I was wondering how to achieve this.

Is uninstalling the corresponding driver a solution?

With kind regards,

marcelsmudda.

Re: Disable processor graphics card

You can't. If it's a laptop with muxless hybrid graphics (if there's no option in BIOS/UEFI to switch GPU, it is), discrete card has no direct access to display. Instead it offloads to integrated GPU, which then displays the picture on the screen.
So, you can either use integrated GPU alone, or use both IGP and DGP.
