Hi,
KDEnLive was working for a while but now I cannot even import a clip, it freeze while not activity is shown on Ksysguard.
My config:
- using kde environment
- kdenlive-15.08.0-2
- ffmpeg-1:2.8-1
- processor: Phenom x6 1055T
- Ram: 12Gb
- SSD drive
Package was not updated so I guess I need to delete some directories, I tried:
$HOME/kdenlive
But did not work.
Any idea?
Openshot and cinelerra seem to work properly on my system but I feel kdenlive is the right balance between simple/possibilities.
Openshot is too limited while cinelerra is too complex.
kdenlive was having some issue with ProjectMonitor performance.
I could not find any specific kdenlive wiki page for Archlinux.
Thx

Importing clips works fine here, is there any indicative output if you launch kdenlive from terminal? There's also the update to 15.08.1 which has many fixes so waiting for that or enabling [testing] to get it now may also help.

Nothing. Only message at startup
// changed to: 1
"Trying to convert empty KLocalizedString to QString."
Removing cache at "/home/xxxxx/.cache/kdenlive-thumbs.kcache"
Attempting to create QWindow-based QOffscreenSurface outside the gui thread. Expect failures.

I might as well test the git version
https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/kdenlive-git/

Is there some folders/files I should clean somewhere?

Yes, kdenlive stores some files inside your home directory.
find ~/ -iname "*kdenlive*"Last edited by schivmeister (2015-09-26 00:10:58)
I need real, proper pen and paper for this.

Thanks
I cleaned all of them, reinstall the package and now everything looks back to normal.
