If I allow the laptop to enter suspend mode (by briefly closing laptop cover). The next time I decide to shutdown (after having come back from suspect), I always get it hanging during shutdown with repeated errors of
ehci-pci 0000:00:1d.0: port 1 resume error -19 This will repeat for 2-3 screens worth of errors. Then it is broken up by an error like this:
usb usb3-port 1: connect-debounce failedehci-pci 0000:00:1d.0: port 1 resume error -19 ehci-pci 0000:00:1d.0: port 1 resume error -19 usb usb3-port 2: over-current conditionthen it goes back to this (with port 2 now instead of port 1) for 2-3 pages, and the pattern continues indefinitely until I hold the power button down over 10 seconds
ehci-pci 0000:00:1d.0: port 2 resume error -19 Any ideas what is causing this or how I might fix it?

Ok, this one I [italics]sort of[/italics] "solved" myself.
Even though I don't have a touchscreen, I blindly followed madx's instructions because someone else had a similar error to mine related to that here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=173418&p=2
It appears to have solved my suspend issue. So far, I haven't noticed it causing any other problems.
Specifically, I added the two files he listed, made the 2nd executable, and changed grub as indicated in madx's post #34 on 2013-12-27 23:33:13.
I hope that helps someone else.
