Unwanted moves by mouse (and maybie keyboard).

Sometimes when I'm typing the mouse thinks it's a good idea to click! It's really annoying since usually you have the pointer somewhere else in the text and have to re-type a part of it. It's even worse if the mouse pointer happens to be resting over the "X" in the corners of a window. Then I have to re-type everything! Anybody know what may cause this? I'm using a laptop but I have connected an external keyboard so it's not mistakenly pressing the mouse pad or anything. Can I somehow disable the mouse pad for 5 seconds after I start/stop typing? Or is there even a better way?

You can do that with syndaemon. Read the syndaemon man pages for more info.
