Kernel 2.6.16 and ndiswrapper with Ralink RT2500 chipset

I have a Ralink RT2500 chipset internal wireless card that I'm using ndiswrapper to operate. Since the upgrade to the 2.6.16 kernel on pacman, my system will randomly lock up, which I have determined is caused by ndiswrapper and/or my card since when I don't use wireless the system doesn't lock up at all. Has anyone experienced similar problems, and if so, how have you fixed it?

Yes, I am aware of that thread since I started it. However, I thought that since it appears to be an issue with the kernel and ndiswrapper, that perhaps this question would be more properly placed in the kernel forum.
