I've just installed skyrim on wine, and everything seems to be working great after I told wine my video ram size, Except that my xbox controller seems to be ignored.
I can see the controller in the joystick calibration screen you can get to with 'wine control', But somehow this doesn't make the controller available in skyrim.
Any ideas how I can trouble shoot this problem?

You're one of those that probably installed Arch on your kerosene powered cheese grater while throwing a taco party!
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...
Look ma, no mouse.

Is there anybody who wants to try to actually answer my question?

Download this http://www.filespr.org/xbox360cemu-v-3- … 1MDIw.html and place all files in the game's root directory. Download/install xboxdrv and run
xboxdrv --silent --detach-kernel-driver --trigger-as-button --ui-axismap x2=ABS_Z,y2=ABS_RZ --ui-buttonmap A=BTN_B,B=BTN_X,X=BTN_A,TR=BTN_THUMBL,TL=BTN_MODE,GUIDE=BTN_THUMBRYou can make a systemd service to run the command on startup
Connect the Xbox controller, then run the game. It should work, I can verify for DiRT 3 and Grid 2

Well, I was skeptical at first, after all, shouldn't xboxdrv or xpad be enough? And I could see the controller pushing buttons in the wine joystick configuration.
However, installing those modified versions of xinput, along with launching xboxdrv with those options seemed to make the controller usable in skyrim. I guess I can't argue with results!
Thanks for the reply!
