Hi all,
I know this issue has came up and there are solutions out there but I just don't seems to be having any luck with it. I am using xfce. I've tried putting
export GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx # or xim
export QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx # or xim
export XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx
in my ~/.xprofile, ~/.profile and ~/.xinitrc
My /etc/locale.conf looks like this
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
LANGUAGE=en_US.UTF-8:zh_TW.UTF-8
My /etc/locale.gen looks like this
$ egrep -v '#' /etc/locale.gen
en_US.UTF-8 UTF-8
zh_CN.UTF-8 UTF-8
zh_CN GB2312
zh_TW.UTF-8 UTF-8
zh_TW BIG5
Below is the result from fcitx-diagnose
$ fcitx-diagnose
