With the kernel update to 4.2.1 (as of 9/29) my Dell E7440 laptop hangs when it is docked in the Dell E-port Plus replicator. Booting from linux-lts (4.1.6) solves the issue but I'm wondering if others have seen this and if this is a bug in Arch or in the kernel or a config issue on my side.

My Thinkpad T450s crashes with Linux 4.2.1 and gnome-shell 3.16.3 when I put it in the docking station. If I boot the laptop in the dock, it freezes as soon as I open the display settings.

I am experiencing the same issue also with a Dell E7440 laptop and the Dell E-port II dock. Thus I have downgraded to the 4.1.6. This issue is not new to me, I got the same last year in August and the only viable solution I have for now is to downgrade to the last working kernel version.
Concerning technical details, journalctl is printing:
[drm:intel_dp_start_link_train [i915]] *ERROR* too many voltage retries, give up
[drm:intel_dp_complete_link_train [i915]] *ERROR* failed to train DP, aborting
Last time, I had only 2. and I didn't get any answer for this issue. Then I downgraded the kernel and I waited the next working well one.

Same here. Using Dell E5440. I can get to GDM, it shows up OK on my external screens. As soon as I login into Gnome 3.16 it hangs.
It works OK without docking station or with kernel 4.1.

Upgraded to linux 4.2.2-1, and the bug seems to be fixed.
