Double Lock Screen in Cinnamon

I am running Cinnamon DE on an updated Arch system. After my computer locks and I enter my password to unlock, sometimes after a few seconds the screen with lock again and I'll have to enter my password a second time. Disabling the lock screen by setting org.cinnamon.desktop.lockdown.disable-lock-screen causes neither screen to show up. Something of interest just looking at the settings in dconf editor is that org.gnome.desktop.lockdown.disable-lock-screen also exists. Setting this gnome value does seem to work at least temporarily although the problem sometimes come back. Therefore this question has two parts:
1. Is there a permanent way to fix this double lock screen issue?
2. Why are these gnome settings there if I do not have gnome-desktop installed?

Re: Double Lock Screen in Cinnamon

When you are talking about your computer locks are your referring to using encryption,
or just it locking?

Re: Double Lock Screen in Cinnamon

Cinnamon initially started as a fork of gnome-shell.  Could be the reason why you see 'gnome'-ish settings.  As to your other question the first link that popped up was your bug issue on cinnamon bugtracker
Seems to come and go but if you read the full thread there are some hopeful solutions.

Re: Double Lock Screen in Cinnamon

Yes thanks for your help. I know that as of cinnamon 2 it should be standalone though right? Just wondering if there is something else going on. I was also wondering if anyone here has experienced this issue as no one has replied to my comments in the other thread.
