makepkg cant use proxy for pacman

I set my proxy system wide and with echo $http_proxy i can see it.

The browser can use it, pacman can use it, everything is fine, almost.

If i use

makepkg -sir

then makepkg somehow cleans up environment variables, which but kills the http_proxy by doing that.

So makepkg -sir is not capable in installing dependencies using the above command.

Does someone have an solution for this?

Re: makepkg cant use proxy for pacman

Think I remember having this problem... The solution was to use curl to download in paceman.conf as I recall.
