[SOLVED] 100% core usage if torrent client has opened.

What is says on the title.  A single core stays at 100% usage, at which the screen starts freezing, internet stops working (wifi stays on, but no connection can be made, not even to the router). Problem persists after the client is shut down. Tried with Deluge and Transmission: Both the stable and git versions of each.

Here is a htop screenshot.

Moderator edit [ewaller] removed img link to over sized image and converted it to a url link

EDIT: Problem was kernal, upgraded from lts to regular.

Could you sort that by cpu%?   It looks like the offending process is not on the page you posted.

Never mind.  It was.

Probably it's kernel code spinning in tight loop, IRQ storm or other crap like that. Try differenTryt kernel versions.

I've switched over from the lts kernel to the regular one. It's been 10 minutes and the problem has not occured, I'll leave it running for a few hours to make sure, and hopefully I'll be able to mark the thread as solved.

UPDATE: Problem hasn't repeated, I'm marking the thread as solved. Thank you for helping.
