I'm afraid that will not work. The software only runs on windows, not on linux and mac. [1] The requirements page does mention that you can try wine.
If you want it to run on linux, you'll probably need to pay a developer to make it run on linux.

I-Simpa is Free softaware, it's source code is available.

Yes I am happy to pay a developer for that task.

Packaging is not the same as development (packaging is a lot simpler imho) and packaging requests is what this section is usually used for, hence my reaction

Anyway, I'm no developer, so I won't be able to help you on this one. Maybe someone else can.
