After I updated the kernel today like normal then updated my bootloader it started happening.
I'm able to boot the system fine, plug in usbs fine, but unplugging them causes the kernel to freak and lock everything. And my caps lock starts blinking.
I have HD encryption using a keyfile and a seperate bootloader so it's pretty annoying that I can't unplug them anymore lol.
I feel like it'd have to be a setting in grsec's conf file right? since if it was a bootloader problem I wouldnt even be able to start anything?
Any help/guidance would be appreciated guys.
Thanks
EDIT: Kernel update 4.2.3.201510111839-1-grsec hasn't fixed the issue

Kernel version?
The similar problem when USB unpluged.
System totally freeze. Only reboot...
Kernel: linux-grsec 4.2.3.201510072230-1.
Downgrade to previous version helped.
Notebook: ACER V3 771G INTEL Core i5 3230m + Intel HD 4000 + 1920x1080.
PC: AMD Phenom x6 1100T + ATI HD 4200 + 2560x1440.

Yea same one, hopefully there's a fix other than downgrading but it's good to know it'll fix the problem. Thanks man

It just happened to me, too. I downgraded the kernel for now, since this is quite a critical issue.
The problem is also that there's nothing in the system log that shows something happened.
I also asked about this on the grsecurity forum, so hopefully they'll be able to help.

Yeah the other guy who posted reported the bug so we'll just have to wait for an update. I can't imagine it taking too long though, it's a pretty big issue.
Thanks for letting the grsec forums know man, let us know if you hear anything.

This has been fixed with the latest patch. I'm not sure if the Arch Linux package has been updated yet, though.
