Nvidia & DPMS on KDE, it won't resume from blank display

Hello,

After a couple of updates, my ASUS G75XV, when goes on power saving and blanking the display,  doesn't come back to normal visualization. The only solution is to force the power switch to power off.
Even any attempt to use keyboard seems not functioning.
I don't find any error in the logs. Maybe I should add verbosity to something that I don't know.

Re: Nvidia & DPMS on KDE, it won't resume from blank display

I have HP Zbook 15 G2 with Nvidia Quadro K2100M on Plasma5 and I have same problem since I've temporarily switched from Bumblebee setup to Nvidia's discrete card only. For me it's a problem with DPMS. You can check if it's a same issue by running

xset dpms force off

As a workaround I'm switching between VTs. Ctrl+Alt+F6, wait for a login prompt and switch back to X using ALT+F7.
If this works, you should be able to disable DPMS by

 xset s off -dpms

as another workaround.
You can find more about DPMS at wiki https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Di … _Signaling

Using proprietary drivers I can't switch to any console, since a long time. The problem arose only with recent updates ( a couple i think) before was working.
I've read the wiki, but no solution fits my system.
