Since my upgrade to OpenOffice 2.0.2-2 and/or to Gnome 2.14 beta (from Blaasvis' repo) the menu and icons in OpenOffice keep disappearing. Only when i hold my mouse over an icon or a menu it appears, otherwise nothing is there. I've tried deleting my .openoffice.org2 folder without any luck. What could be causing the missing menu and icons? Could it be a problem with some of the packages installed from Blaavis gnome2.13 repo?
Any ideas?

I decided to delete all my .gconf, .gnome2 etc. folders and relogin, that seemed to do the trick. Just strange what it could have been making the icons disappear

My wife had this happen today, so I logged in to gnome and exactly the same happened to me. I tried deleting the .gnome and .gnome2 files but this has not made any difference. Anyone else using gnome and openoffice having this problem?

I think maybe you need to delete more folders than what you've already done. I believe I also deleted folders such as .gconf and .gconfd, try those also

Tried that but did not work either  OOo opens and for a second looks like it will be fine, then the icons and menus go into meltdown. If I switch into KDE OOo works fine :?:

Hmm, what happens if you create a new user, does the problem still persist for the new user? If not, then I still think the solution is to remove all configuration folders related to gnome, and perhaps also the .openoffice2 folder
