There's a lot of unusual and crazy acronyms and terms us Arch users throw around. I've started a wiki page, a glossary to help define some.
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arc … or_newbies
Feel free to add or remove, as per the simple guidelines at the top. Just add a definition for one or two, it only takes a moment, but if everyone works together, it will be a strong complete glossary very quickly. Distributed Documentation Development!
I have also started, but not heavily developed, a page with common questions from newbies. A solid Arch FAQ. Again, feel free to add and develop this page.

Upon initial completion, it would be great to add these in a sticky prominent in the forums and the Arch homepage, somewhere to give new users some extra direction.

Nice idea.
I made my own detailed install/configuration guide with screenshots and details in french, you can see it here or grab the pdf version (same link). It's still incomplete but some friends of mine had no problem installing Arch following the guide.
Maybe this will help some people.
