Re: Problem With Nvidia GTX 970

If your uname -r output is correct, you need nvidia-lts, just nvidia is meant for the stock, non-lts kernel.

EDIT: Also, common oversight is to forget to install nvidia-libgl, which is necessary for the driver to work properly. t is not installed as a dependancy due to Bumblebee which doesn't need it. Your system does.

Re: Problem With Nvidia GTX 970

Please read the edit above, you posted a few seconds before I edited smile  And be sure to use the nvidia package appropriate for your current kernel (you can have multiple nvidia packages for each kernel you have installed, like nvidia and nvidia-lts.

Re: Problem With Nvidia GTX 970

Installed the nvidia-libgl package, now it is in a slighter better resolution, 1024x768, but no full HD yet

Re: Problem With Nvidia GTX 970

What is the output of

xrandr

?

Also, your Xorg.log wouldn't hurt.

Re: Problem With Nvidia GTX 970

Seems that the driver is getting bad values from your monitor's EDID, and that's why it cannot find/see anything but very safe and small resolutions.

Am not quite familiar with that particular problem, but wiki does have a few lines about it: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/NV … rride_EDID
